The universal path behind spirituality

Rebirth and reincarnation

Rebirth is a mostly ridiculed topic because the average person does not really believe in God or a soul.  From the esoteric sight  man has several esoteric bodies, which are uncounsious to him:

  • Material body with neural consciousness
  • Etheric Body ( Chi, Prana )
  • Astral body ( Wiki ) - which is unconsious to current man
  • Mental body - which is unconsious to current man
  • Causal body - not or little developed
  • Spirit ( Atman, Purusha, Trikaya etc. ), which are not developed in the current man.

A. After the death the etheric body solves up within a few days and the astral soul awakes in the astral world and looses the rememberance of the past incarnation

The weak astral body of a person who had led a life, which was very much orientated at the (desires of the) body sinks down to the gray region of the underworld, where the higher forces of the sun are absorbed.

Greece mythology said about this region : "Better to be a beggar on earth than a king in the world of the shadows".
There the soul can live for some ten years and then it sinks mostly down to the underlying dark astral region (a region parallel to our planet) and perishes there together with the mental body.

If only the mental body had degenerated during the past incarnation then the astral soul may eventually return into the animal kingdom.

In the normal astral world a developed astral body can live up to some centuries und then dies and reincarnates if it has survived the dangers of the astral world. The essence of the mental body and the higher bodies survive the reinkarnations partially.
After reincarnation begins the reconstruction of the bodies in three phases of about seven years and further phases of structuration of seven years. On our planet this normally means the 'death' of the soul.

Neither good deeds nor just the beleife in a resolver (as  in Jesus - who never was that) nor in a divine Master or a membership in a religious movement can prevent this. Only the development of the soul by a sadhana can lead to a life of the human soul in the higher astral worlds :

Upon his departure from this world, he goes to the physical self; he goes further to the self of life; he goes further to the self of mind; he goes further to the self of knowledge; he goes further to the self of bliss. He moves through these worlds at his will. (Taittiriya Upanishad, III. 10. 5). The Upanishad clearly assumes a developed yogi.

In Chapter 16, Verse 4 of the Bhagavad Gita, entitled "The Yoga of Separation between the Divine and the Demonic," Krishna says: 'Hypocrisy, arrogance, conceit, anger, and also harshness and ignorance, belong to one born in a demonic state.'

On the other hand, the Chandogya Upanishad states in the 8th Khanda: 'And when one dies, they decorate his corpse with all kinds of junk (bhikshâ), with clothes and ornaments. They probably believe this will win them the world beyond! Yogavashista 54 - Reflections on Death

At step 10 of the Universal Path the student "spins the wheel" , and therefore the soul does not sink down into the dark regions(of samsara of the lower astral worlds).
The spiritual man has developed the higher bodies and can wait with the reincarnation for long ages.  Precondition is the spiritual "Rebirth from water and spirit", the beginning of the long path or the end of step 14 of the Universal path, which is the start of the Samadhi-steps.
[One key-reference to being "born again" is John 3:5, where Jesus says, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."]
First the true master is liberated from the cycle of rebirth und he may incarnate freewillingly or after order of the divine.

"Who is satisfied with little, him I call rich - Who acts powerful - him I call strong-willed. who has not lost his center - he has continuance - who dies and yet does not perish, holds the key to immortality", Tao Te King.
